Adult Christian Education organizes opportunities for St. Aidanites to explore ideas that foster our spiritual growth or enrich our life together. Sometimes we use a formal curriculum with a DVD to spark conversation and at other times we design our own set of activities and group discussion questions. Most often, we share a meal.
During Advent and Lent and at other times in the year, the Wednesday Supper Series meets for several weeks in a row, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., with a simple supper included. We just concluded a five week series reading and discussing Verna Dozier's book The Dream of God: A Call to Return. Click here for more about the series this Lent.
Periodically, we also present Sunday Forums immediately after the 10 a.m. service. These events are either a presentation or a structured conversation, often about the life of the church.
A light brunch is frequently involved. We are currently doing a series of Sunday Forums on theology and racial justice, using a video series produced by the Episcopal Church.
Adult Ed events are open to all. We welcome ideas for topics that might interest you!

Children's Christian Education at St. Aidan's creates spaces for children to learn about the stories of the Church Year, meeting them where they are and welcoming their creative engagement. "Godly Play" takes place in a room near the main worship space during the first half of the 10am service, drawing to a close at the Peace so that families can come around the table together. There is also a small carpet area with toys in the main worship space where children, parents, and friends are always welcome to hang out.
