Companion Animal Ministry
For ten years St. Aidan’s has had a Companion Animal Ministry. We are reminded at our Interfaith Companion Animal Memorial Service and at other times throughout the year how important this ministry is for people. They express their appreciation for St. Aidan’s as a place to grieve, honor and remember their beloved animal companions. At the memorial service, people grieve for the loss of their companion animals, share photos and mementoes of the dear pets they’ve lost recently or those who were lost long ago. At the service we offer perspectives from many spiritual practices including Jewish, Buddhist, Franciscan and Christian.
Ours is the only ministry of it’s kind in our Diocese. We hope to be a place of solace and comfort, in our community and beyond, to those who have lost a companion animal. For more information contact:
